Colorado Vertical?
- you can tailor your schedule to meet
your needs. You will be able to either
directly schedule online or through a
Flight Instructor whenever you want

When can I start My training?
A. You can start anytime you want to.
There is not a specific starting date
since most of your training will be one
on one.
How do I start my training?
- We recommend that you schedule an
introductory flight so you can see what it is like to fly at Colorado Vertical. You will be able to fly the helicopter if you so choose and have a chance to ask your instructor questions. If you decide to begin your training, you will be able make a plan and schedule your next flight.
Do you hire graduates of your school as Instructors?
- Yes, we prefer to hire our own students back
as flight instructors since we know how they fly
and they know how Colorado Vertical prefers
to teach helicopter flight.
How many hours do I need to get a job?
- We are now allowed by our insurance company
to hire CFIs with as low as 150 hours total time.
At the present time R44 pilots are reqired to
meet certain requirements outlined in SFAR 73,
which requires at least 200 hours total helicopter
flight time.
